June 25, 2026 Greetings, classmates! This is Bob Weinstock, writing once again on behalf of the Class of 1976 Reunion Committee. We have more information to share with you! Reunion registration: As of June 18, 50 class members and 22 guests have registered. If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline is September 4. From September 5-11, you can still register, but with an additional $60 fee. The ABSOLUTE deadline is September 11 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. “Lost” classmates: A few of our classmates have old email addresses, or no email address at all, on file with the Office of Alumni Relations. We want to be sure we reach everyone. Please check with each other so we can reach as many classmates as possible. Address changes and updates can be made at https://gallaudet.edu/alumni-relations/stay-in-touch/ Roommates: As of June 12, one male and two females are looking for roommates. If you plan to come and need a roommate, email Dennise Scott at asl5lady@gmail.com and Suzy Wallace at isuzyw@gmail.com, or text me (Bob) at 301-642-0338. Guests: Several classmates have asked if their spouses, significant others, or guests can pay for some, but not all, of the reunion events. We are sorry, but this is not an option. Class members pay $240; guests pay $270. (The difference is because guests pay $30 for the Golden Anniversary Luncheon on Friday, October 16.) Optional items: You may purchase one or more vests at $60 each, and one or more memory books at $25 each. We have decided not to offer the memory book on USB flash drives. However, we are looking into ways to make it available in electronic form to class members who purchase the “hard copy” memory book. If you are NOT coming to the reunion, but want to purchase a memory book and/or vest, you may do so at this link: https://gallaudetar.regfox.com/class-of-1976-purchase-class-apparel--memory-book Kellogg Conference Hotel reservations: Many of you plan to stay at the Kellogg Conference Hotel. Please be aware that the dates shown on the hotel website do not match our dates. Our reunion dates are October 14-17, with our class banquet on October 17 in the evening. You should plan to arrive on October 14 and leave on October 18. The Office of Alumni Relations has made a video that shows how to change the start and ending dates for your hotel stay if need be. Click on this link to watch the video. If you booked your checkout on October 17 in error, email the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni.relations@gallaudet.edu, and they will make the change for you. Kellogg Conference Hotel room rates are as follows:
Can I come early or leave late? Some people may want to come early or leave late to visit family or friends, sightsee, etc. That is absolutely fine. Just put in your desired check-in or check-out dates. Parking, $40 per day?!? Whatttt? The Kellogg Conference Hotel website says that on-campus parking is $40 per day. IGNORE THIS. Parking is absolutely free. If, upon arrival, the hotel front desk staff tries to tell you otherwise, let us know, and we will intervene. What meals are included?
All other meals are on your own. Beethoven’s Nightmare, TRUE-BUSINESS? Yes! Ed, Bob, and Steve will be the featured performers at the Alumni Bash for all Homecoming guests on Friday evening, October 16, then they will perform for us at our class banquet on Saturday evening, October 17. This will be their grand finale! Let’s give them a great send-off after more than 50 years as the premier Deaf rock band in the world. Questions, comments? Email co-chairs Dennise Scott at asl5lady@gmail.com and Suzy Wallace at isuzyw@gmail.com, or text me (Bob) at 301-642-0338. We look forward to seeing you in October! Best, Bob, for the Class of 1976 Reunion Committee |
