May 21, 2026
Greetings!
This is Bob Weinstock, writing on behalf of the Class of 1976 Reunion Committee. We have important information to share with you, as well as answers to some frequently-asked questions.
-
Reunion registration is open! As of May 21, 32 class members and 17 guests had registered. If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible.
-
Registration costs: Class members pay $240; guests pay $270. (This is because guests pay for the Golden Anniversary Luncheon on Friday, October 16.)
-
Optional items: You may purchase one or more vests at $60 each, and one or more memory books at $25 each.
We have decided not to offer the memory book on USB flash drives. However, we are looking into ways to make it available in electronic form to class members who purchase the “hard copy” memory book.
-
Kellogg Conference Hotel reservations: Many of you plan to stay at the Kellogg Conference Hotel. Please be aware that the dates shown on the hotel website do not match our dates. Our reunion dates are October 14-17, with our class banquet on October 17 in the evening. You should plan to arrive on October 14 and leave on October 18. The Office of Alumni Relations has made a video that shows how to change the start and ending dates for your hotel stay. Click on this link to watch the video.
-
If you booked check-out on October 17 in error, please email the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni.relations@gallaudet.edu, and they will make the change for you.
-
Can I come early or leave late? Some people may want to come early or leave late to visit family or friends, do some sightseeing, etc. That is absolutely fine. Just put in your desired check-in or check-out dates.
-
Parking, $40 per day?!? Whatttt? The Kellogg Conference Hotel website says that on-campus parking is $40 per day. IGNORE THIS. Parking is absolutely free. If, upon arrival, the hotel front desk staff tries to tell you otherwise, let us know, and we will intervene.
-
What meals are included?
(1) We will have a welcome reception on Wednesday evening, October 14 with appetizers, but not a full meal.
(2) You may eat complimentary breakfast at the Kellogg Conference Hotel Bistro on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (We recommend that you leave a gratuity for the hard-working servers!)
(3) We will have a Golden Anniversary Luncheon on Friday.
(4) Finally, we will have our class banquet on Saturday evening.
All other meals are on your own.
-
Beethoven’s Nightmare, TRUE-BUSINESS? Yes! Ed, Bob, and Steve will be the featured performers at the Alumni Bash on Friday evening, then they will perform for us at our class banquet on Saturday evening. This will be their grand finale! Let’s give them a good send-off after more than 50 years as the premier Deaf rock band in the world.
Questions, comments? Email co-chairs Dennise Scott at asl5lady@gmail.com and Suzy Wallace at isuzyw@gmail.com, or text me at 301-642-0338.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
Best,
Bob, for the Class of 1976 Reunion Committee
